The Cabinet on Stand Course is aimed at giving the intermediate student an achievable project that will become an heirloom piece. To some, a beautifully crafted cabinet is regarded as the pinnacle of their woodworking achievements.

We will be concentrating on an elegant, timeless design utilising a combination of both traditional and modern techniques. The cabinet will incorporate a hand cut, hand fitted dovetail drawer and hinged doors with solid floating panels. It has been designed to be easily transportable upon completion.

The class size is limited to four students. Each student will have their own bench and tool board with quality hand tools during the month. Furniture grade materials will be supplied, as will safety visors and ear protection. The School has an extensive reference library including books on technique and design. The machine shop is equipped with all machinery necessary to run a professional furniture making practice.

The School is located just 2km from Samford Village and 25km from Brisbane.
